STRONG WALL

Inside the AIRTeC main test facility weighing an impressive 220 tonnes is the Airbus ‘Strong Wall.’ At 14 metres long, 10 metres high and 4.5 metres deep, the Strong Wall helps enable the development of the next generation of aircraft by testing full-scale wings. Flexible and adaptable, the modular testing equipment can be configured for each test, instead of designing and building custom test rigs each time. It is designed to allow a faster and cheaper test design and setup, while supporting a full reuse philosophy.
